More like the vagaries of Photomatix, which with some of the presets for reasons unknown surround sky areas with light edges, as happened above. But it's not worth expending unlimited time and effort in trying to perfect a very run-of-the-mill shot, which this is.

If you prefer the original (ex-camera .jpg) image, I can easily replace it with that.
