Howard Somerville club has replied to John LawrenceI didn't think at the time that the trip would be very productive, picture-wise, because like everywhere else, India isn't quite as picturesque as it used to be, and even after an interval of less than 10 years (when I last went there) I could see the inevitable change. Also, February (the end of the dry season, when it's dusty and hazy) wasn't the best time to go. But thanks to digital (and its allowing a little artistic license) I did manage to scrape together 30 shots, 8 more than I did on the popular "Southern India" tour of November 2013. I was helped this time by our group having a free day in Shimla, the most interesting stop on the itinerary, when not having a guide and group to have to keep an eye on and being able to take my time, this was the most productive few hours of the trip.
