A fine example of English thatch, I agree.
But the sweaty postman isn't needed here,
or at least might benefit from a move to the east.

Now what?? Acres of featureless asphalt or concrete to "lead the eye into the picture". Isn't that what you like??

The featureless asphalt leads us nowhere at all, so why would I want more of the same??

So what DO you want?? Less foreground and lead-in to allow your eye to sail over the top?

I don't delete comments made by others, even if I disagree with them, and have no intention of deleting yours, even at your own behest.

I applaud your devotion to free speech, but I was referring to the diarr photo, which is beyond rectification.

By definition, if it's diarr it's rectified. It's a sole function. If I had such a picture I'd delete it immediately.

What shall I say to Rowan Parker?

Perhaps: "Rubbish! The picture is diarr and the best thing would be for me to delete it."

It's a unisex name. The daughter of a friend (who would have been my best man had he not died 5 days before my wedding) is named Rowan. She's now in her 40s and Head of Engineering at London Overground www.womenintransport.com/our-blog/audience-with-rowan-joachim. I understand that her parents gave her an androgynous name because they knew at the time that they would only have the one child.

I don't know about Rowan Parker, though. Do you want me to ask him or her what sex he or she is?
