Do you think you found the exact spot where John Constable may have sat while sketching out his famous painting.? I reckon it is a yard or two more to the left.

Could well be; I didn't have the painting to hand at the time. As I say, I waited all day for a hay wain, and when one finally arrived and reached the right spot in the river, tourists got in the way, and I couldn't take it.

Actually the river was a bit high for the hay wain on that day, Howard. What the tourists saw was a barge with hay bales on it, so you didn't miss out.
