A place I regret not visiting when I the opportunity. A marvellous cityscape and shot.

Thanks. It's scanned from a negative with NO digital artifice or enhancement. The lighting (it had been heavily overcast until minutes before, and the cloud suddenly lifted) really was like that. In pre-digital days, a lucky fluke.

I possessed a digital SLR with assorted lenses (a 21st birthday present) and wish I had made more use of it and saved what few pics I took somehwere safe!
Pentax ME - I enjoyed using it but now it sits folornly neglected in a cupboard in my parents house in Cornwall! Someone suggested I buy a mid-range DSLR so that at least I wouldn't waste the lesnses. A good point. When I get some funds ... then maybe!

My entire outfit (Sony A77 and 3 zoom lenses) were stolen in a burglary 2 years ago, which at least gave me the opportunity to start afresh. I carefully researched all the current camera brands, models, formats and body types and decided that the best, for me, was another mirrorless APSC camera - the Sony A6500, which I'm well pleased with even though it's not as fast in use as a good DSLR. I reckoned that any gain in image quality from full-frame or medium format would be insignificant once uploaded to Ipernity or Flickr and would be at the cost of reduced portability and DOF. The new A7500 when it finally appears should be perfect. Also, if the system you use offers a 24-105mm or 24-120mm equivalent zoom, that will cover 90% of the pictures you'll take, saving a lot of lens changing, which is best avoided.
