We lived here (Hanwell) for 3-4 years when I would have been about 4, 5 and 6. I remember this park and the viaduct very well - even in the snow of the Winter of 63!
In fact it is still called The Bunny Park - I worked near here for a few years around 1995 and a colleague's young child called it this, much to my delight!. They kept exotic and not-so-exotic rodents of various types in enclosures here (I guess they still do!).
Fine shot!
Howard Somerville club has replied to Andy Rodker clubFor years I'd been hoping (in vain, mostly) for some snow to replenish my stock of Christmas card pictures, and every Winter I'd been ready, at the drop of a hat, to jump on a train to Oxford or a bus (I live in Ealing) to Hanwell - the nearest, reasonably picturesque place to me. And that day (last Wednesday) finally came.
The woman and toddler in this and the other shot, in their bright colours, just happened to come along at the right moments.
