Between movements at a recovering Solent Airport, I took a chance with the macro setting on my beautiful compact - absolutely not one of my skills - and look!

She does indeed!
It's ages since I've seen a "live" one, though. This one will do nicely. I love ladybirds.
'Tell you one thing, too: all this talk of wildlife returning to the cities as a result of the dreaded lockdown...sounds like a lot of cobbles to me. This year the scarcity of wildlife in my garden is spectacular. I've got two magpies, two wild pigeons (not even turtle doves, as I used to have), a few stray swallows, a suspected blackbird (never seen and scarcely heard), a few nondescript small birds and two sad flies two. No bats, no butterflies, no squirrels. And the vixen had only two cubs, this spring, and one of them came to die in my garden. :-(
My little brother assures me that said elusive wildlife has returned to Barcelona, including lots of bees -he wonders what the hell do they eat, poor things. And the wild boars (senglars in Catalan) have multiplied in the hills of Collcerola ( the hill range/massif surrounding Barcelona). And of course the swallows are still faithful to the city.
I think it's high time we re-introduced wolves in Epping Forest and bears in Hampstead Heath. And a pride of lions or two ought stalk the vicinity of No. 10.
There.Have a lovely day, my most excellent, considerate friend.

Update 10/06/20
The magpie couples are now two. Wheeeeee!
The blackbirds remain heard but elusive to the eyeball.
The wild doves are getting very fat and prosperous-looking. Must check the species. They're very pretty, though, with a white spot at the back of the neck.
The flies have increased to four and been declared protected species.
Counted three bees yesterday.
The swallows are definitely around and getting more numerous and noisier, thank Bumba.
The remaining fox cub seems to have found a mate from another litter. They were playing silly buggers in my garden a couple of days ago.
Still no bats, though. :-(
Last night I dreamed I had an African wild dog in the garden.Wishful thinking never ends.
I though you'd like to be kept in the loop re. urban wildlife.
Stay groovy.
