Braemar arriving at St. John's (5) - 16 March 2019

My cruise ship photography will be tedious to some but is aimed, as are many of my other pictures, at enthusiasts on a certain subject. Different angles can assist, for example, record keeping and modelling. So, my Braemar series from Antigua continues with three more arrival shots in which the ship is manoeuvring to approach the quay stern first. Followers will recall that Norwegian Gem [qv] performed a similar manoeuvre at Castries although that was executed outside what one might regard as the harbour entrance. Braemar turned closer to the piers and took quite some time before coming alongside. The intense midday light lends to this picture an almost HDR effect but I have not altered the contrast or brightness.
