All Seasons (closed) - 24 February 2019

In February 2019, the long established greengrocer and fruiterer All Seasons, at 135A High Street, Lee on Solent, closed with the retirement of Peter and Debbie Patterson. Attempts to pass on the lease were unsuccessful and Jeff and Karen Jones are opening a shop in smaller premises and further west at 165 High Street instead.

I first recorded this business nearly eight years ago. In spite of the banner above the fascia, which still has some resonance today, it was not the coming of Tesco Express, opposed by many at the time, which brought about the closure of All Seasons.
