5101 Class Survivor at Churston - 14 February 2019

GWR 5101 Class (Large Prairie) was a class of 140 2-6-2T locomotives of which ten survived scrapping and only five have run in preservation. 4110, seen at Churston, Dartmouth Steam Railway is awaiting restoration and was previously with the West Somerset Railway.

This was a challenging picture to take with the locomotive tucked away under the A379 and light streaming in from only one side of the flyover.
