Goldfinch - 6 July 2018

Birds brighten my life but to photograph them I often have to push my humble bridge camera pretty hard. As the hot weather continued on this July morning, the car park of a Gosport supermarket was filled with the loud, assertive song of this single goldfinch who had taken over a small tree there. The goldfinch population in the Gosport area seems to have re-established itself and they are a frequent and welcome sight in my garden.
