Midland Court, Portsmouth - 10 September 2017

It gives me great pleasure to hunt down closed banks but rather less to find just how many there are. This is one of two within doors of each other in Portsmouth, Hampshire. It was a long patient wait even on a Sunday morning to get a clear shot of this former Midland Bank because of the use of the bus stop outside.

26-28 Kingston Road now accommodates Flats 1-8 Midland Court. The outline of the word 'Bank' can be seen in this photograph above the old main entrance. Traces of other lettering are visible across the entire frontage with the first of the words (not clear in this image) apparently being 'Midland' which leaves me wondering what all the other words were.
