Nice Gare du Sud, l'avenir - 22 Avril 2017

Linking my earlier photographs of the train shed and the station building, this poster, on rue Alfred Binet, illustrates beautifully the completed development of the site which was, after the closure of the station and for some years, a surface car park. Construction is well advanced and an underground car park is a fine example of its kind. The poster image features the cathedral-like presence within the development of the restored Eiffel train shed and I shall certainly return with some joy to see the realisation of this urban vision.
