Great Central Railway (39M) - 15 July 2014

BR Class 2 2-6-0 78019 at Quorn & Woodhouse. The locomotive was posed with its short train for an organised photoshoot and about 30 people were in front of it. I smiled a little to myself as I got the reverse of the countless near-identical pictures which were being taken at the same time. The purists are going to jump all over me for converting to b&w but this is a technique I like to use with discretion and, in this case, I think there are no elements to make this image less than timeless.
