Eastleigh Station (2) - 24 October 2013
I have been going to Eastleigh for well over 40 years but I don't think I have photographed the actual station before today. It is well maintained as evidenced by the condition and appearance of the footbridge but, in many ways, has changed little. The building on platforms 2& 3, featured here, is pretty grim 70s architecture but, somehow, it is part of Eastleigh. Perhaps most importantly, the station welcomes enthusiasts and photographers. There is no line of intimidating ticket barriers to prevent access to an enjoyable stay the only price for which is good behaviour.
