The End of Mail Domination
You could regard this as another excuse for a 'clever' title but there is a story behind the picture. The area of London sandwiched between High Holborn and Bloomsbury Way especially in the Museum Street/New Oxford Street section is looking particularly grim. This disused New Oxford Street sorting office (this is the Museum Street face) is being marketed for development as 'The Sorting Office' (!). The growth of technology and the way we use it has affected Post Offices and the Royal Mail as much as anybody and led in part to the redundancy of such buildings. Is this a sign of the end of mail domination?
