Spring Renewal

Note: Spring Renewal consists of a limited amount of colors with the bold, striking vibrant red most notably among the discarded grating representing the renewal of life’s cycle as color returns to transform the gray winter landscape that had been frozen in stasis that is represented by the gray background that includes a tinge of sepia to represent fertile dirt that conceals buried seeds and bulbs that are ready to burst forth, spurred by the warming temperatures . The rubber space beneath the face represents the continuity of seasons while the white, discarded wiring represents growth as plants and vines of all forms take form to conceal once barren, drab areas. The remaining gray consists of scattered ripples from falling raindrops since spring is known for its showers while the left-most pane consists of floral patterns since spring is known for its abundance of flowers. The smiling face represents joy since rebirth and renewal, a time of new beginnings, are filled with zest and potential that mark the beginning of another season of life’s journey and dreams. I also made the choice to use red since red is the color of love and renewal and rebirth are the ultimate result of the greatest love.
