TO TWO BEAUTIFUL LAIDIES !
Have I asked you before? What tools do you use to get your images to be black & white? I'm assuming these are digital images - if they're film, then I know that answer. But if digital, do you change to black and white in Lightroom, or similar program, or do you use a black and white setting in your camera?
I ask because I struggle with changing my digital images to black and white. It seems hard to get the right contrast and range of grays that I want. Yours are done so well so I thought I'd ask you.
Maria Rainer-Giotto club has replied to raingirl clubI use the FastStone Image photo processing program. There is an item called "Illumination correction", and at the bottom left you can control such moments as shadows/light/contrast/saturation.
I remove the color using the saturation parameter, add a little contrast, and play a little with light and shadows. It's all. I don't have the patience to "enhance" photos with software. I try to shoot in such a way as to make minimal adjustments.
