PV Shearwater
The 'Shearwater' returning to berth in the Port of Sunderland after dropping off the pilot onto the cargo ship Sarah-B that arrived a short time later.
The Port Authority seem to use the ships 'Shearwater' and 'Heron' interchangeably though it would be interesting to know more on how they choose which one to use.

RNLI Lifeboat - 17-34 'Osier'
Seeing double? The pilot vessel 'Shearwater' joins an exercise by the RNLI in the harbour of Sunderland. This consisted of the locally based RIBs (B-945 and D-879) and the Tynemouth offshore lifeboat 17-34 ('Osier').

The pilot ship Shearwater returning to Sunderland after a short trip out of the harbour. The vessel had not been used during summer and autumn, with the Heron the favoured ship for the pilot to embark and disembark ships using the Port of Sunderland.
