The price of that meat is the same as in your country, so here few people can buy it.
But as Andy says for me meat is like this or nothing. I've always been a difficult person with food, used to eat what is harvested at the time it grows, I never eat industrial or processed and this since ever.
Not far away there is the breeding of Kobe Wagyu cows, born in Portugal in the Alentejo, the first ones having been imported from Japan.
This breeder supplies high-end restaurants and the meat costs around 160€/kg for the restaurants..., he doesn't sell to individuals. As you can see my weekly steak is a luxury.
I know most of the population can’t afford other meat than industrial, the problem would be change attitude, eat less quantity and best quality, not only for the planet but also for one’s health, but that goes against the economical interest of junk food industry.
When I was young and struggled for money I always preferred simple but natural. Could feed myself on brown rice with garlic and olive oil for days, at least I new I was not poisoning myself with canned food !
Well, I am glad to exchange with you, Jens, I admire people who make sustainable bio quality production like you do.
