Pipes

Pipes
documenta 2017: Hiwa K. ( Kurdistan ): When We Were Exhaling Images ( Als wir Bilder ausgeatmet haben ). An Installation of 20 stacked sewer pipes. The artist got his inspiration for this project at the port of Patras ( Greece ). Refugees are dwelling in such pipes for weeks in hope to get with them on a boat to Italy. Without furniture, of course. Students of Kassel Art Academy equipped the pipes with individual furniture for themexhibition.
The other aspect of his work is a critic on skyrocket buildings in modern architecture. In urban planning a lot of social architecture is destroyed, in favor of a elite, that is striving for high. The project is meant to remind of something like 'horizontal approach'. The question is: what is high and what's on the bottom and that's a question of might, money and social classes.

Das macht sehr nachdenklich! Schade, dass die Sicherheitsbedenken gesiegt haben...

Very profound but very true Ulrich, modern buildings are built in kit form and without good architecture,
Nice shot and I wish you a lovely week.
