Starting in Jasper we had a big issue with smoke from wildfires coming from BC for several days.
Mt. Robson is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies and its summit elevation is 3959m.

The waters of Moraine Lake seem like they have been poured straight from the heavens into the Valley of the Ten Peaks. The towering mountains encircle the deep blue surface of the lake in a formation so extraordinary, only Mother Nature could shape it.
Piles of boulders have been seemingly dropped by the hands of giants, forming miniature mountains near the lakeshore.

The gem-like color of Vista Lake will distract you from the descent into the valley. Hopefully, you will forget that you have to climb this hill again on the way back.

The lake itself is beautiful with an impressive mountain backdrop. The clear blue water of the lake is incredibly inviting on a calm summer day, but don’t be fooled as it will still be quite cold!

This vibrant blue glacier-fed lake, located about 40 km (25 mi) north of Lake Louise in Banff National Park, is a popular stop for visitors travelling along the famed Icefields Parkway. Throughout the summer months, glacier rock flour flows into the lake, which gives the water its breathtaking colour.

Emerald Lake - Yoho National Park

Undoubtedly Emerald Lake is the main attraction of Yoho National Park. And, mainly, the blue and turquoise color is the principal reason to make this lake considered as the jewel of the Canadian Rockies.
The first non-indigenous person to set sight on Emerald Lake was Canadian guide Tom Wilson, who stumbled upon it by accident in 1882. A string of his horses had gotten away, and it was while tracking them that he first entered the valley. The lake had an impression on him: "For a few moments I sat [on] my horse and enjoyed the rare, peaceful beauty of the scene." It was Wilson who gave the lake its name because of its remarkable color, which due to a different rock type producing the sediment that is suspended in the glacial water, reflects the green spectrum of sunlight.

Takakkaw Falls - Yoho NationalPark - HWW

Featuring a total height of 373 m and a main drop of 254 m, the Takakkaw Falls are the second tallest waterfall in Canada. Fed by the frigid waters of the Daly Glacier, these breathtaking falls are at their peak in the late spring when an increase in the volume of meltwater creates a powerful effect. The name Takakkaw comes from the Cree people, who named the “wonderful” or “magnificent” in their language, and they are absolutely right!
