Wie ein großer Zoo, nur die Touris werden hier heran gekarrt, wenn ich mir die Blechlawine ansehe

Da hast du recht. Manchmal war es etwas verstörend andererseits brauchen die Nationalparks viel Geld um die Tiere vor Wilderern zu schützen. Wie haben unserem Guide nach ein paar dieser Erlebnisse (am schlimmsten war es bei dem Leoparden) gesagt, dass er doch bitte nicht den Massen folgen soll. Das hat dann auch gut geklappt und wir hatten weitestgehend unsere Ruhe und Tiere haben wir trotzdem reichlich gesehen.

Such a wonderful scene...........elephants in the foreground and those magnificent clouds over Kilimanjaro. The sunshine is gorgeous and you've captured the animals in superb detail.

I share uwschu's misgivings about the number of vehicles, but your reply makes perfect sense. I suppose it's all about balancing the needs of the animals against the money gained by tourism. I'm glad I don't have to make those sort of decisions.

Looks like a great safari you did. I almost missed the peak of Kilimanjaro peeping through the top of the clouds here, so intent was I on looking at the elephants. Well done.

Mit dem Kilimandscharo im Hintergrund und dem Staub, den Wolken, den Tieren ein herrliches Bild….mich treibt nur auch dieses Geben und Nehmen um….es gibt wohl kaum noch Flecken, die nicht vermarktet werden (müssen)….

Hier bei uns laufen die Kühe über die Strasse, Elefanten so zu sehen muss schon fantastisch sein.
