Ende der 1960er präsentierte Dornier die visionärste Konstruktion der deutschen Luftfahrtindustrie: einen düsengetriebenen Kampfzonentransporter, der senkrecht starten konnte. In Serie ging er nie.

It's so interesting to see what a Dornier looks like. A German plane was hoiste from the sea bed on the English coast some year ago, and taken to RAF Cosford where they tried to restore it. Unfortunately the attempt failed, but I have some photos of pieces of it in my archives.
