Hands & Molecules
A pair of hands, 8 feet tall, emerging from the ground and cradling a molecule is located on the Westcliff Promenade, Ramsgate, Kent, UK. The sculpture by David Barnes was funded by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and installed by Thanet District Council; this work celebrates the discovery, development and manufacture of innovative medicines in East Kent.
It was unveiled in June 2000 to mark the opening of the National Cycle Network (Route 15) in Thanet, Kent.
Bronze casting by Livingstone Art Founders (Tonbridge)
Now voted the countries 7th best sculpture.
MY THANKS TO ALL WHO VISIT AND COMMENT IT IS APPRECIATED
