Construit dès la fin du 15e siècle, le Château de St-Maurice est opportunément placé, comme un verrou, à l’entrée de la vallée du Rhône. Entièrement détruit par un incendie à la fin du 17e il a été totalement reconstruit en 3 ans à peine.

Built at the end of the 15th century, the Château de St-Maurice is strategically located like a lock at the entrance to the Rhône Valley. Completely destroyed by fire at the end of the 17th century, it was completely rebuilt in just three years.
