Antraigues sur Volane.
Antraïgues est connue pour avoir été la "muse" ayant inspiré Jean Ferrat. Jean Ferrat est né le 26 décembre 1930 à Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine) et s’est éteint le 13 mars 2010 à Aubenas en Ardèche à l’âge de 79 ans.Village d'Antraïgues sur Volane Parolier, musicien, compositeur et chanteur français, Jean Ferrat a connu un grand succès pour la qualité de ses compositions (textes et mélodies) ainsi que le timbre de sa voix. A la fois chanteur engagé et poète, auteur de chansons à texte, il était aussi compositeur et mettait en musique de nombreux textes de Louis Aragon. Se retirant de la scène à l’âge de 42 ans, Jean Ferrat est venu s’installer sur la commune d’Antraïgues sur Volane en Ardèche, où il s’était lié d’amitié avec le peintre Jean Saussac. Ce magnifique lieu lui a inspiré l’une des chansons les plus connues de son répertoire : " La montagne " .
Situé au cœur des jeunes volcans d'Ardèche, Antraigues est un village de caractère qui culmine à 470 m d'altitude. Témoin de cette période éruptive, le promontoire sur lequel est construit le village surplombe les vallées des deux ruisseaux de la Volane et du Mas, d'où le nom du village " entre aigues ", offrant un paysage pittoresque avec vue sur les châtaigniers séculaires, les cultures en terrasse et les coulées basaltiques.
