Nestled in the cliff face at Flamborough head. Going against the rules of composition by placing the subject in the centre, I think it works well!
Common seal

There were a good few Common seals to be seen at Flamborough head. Some lazing on the coastline and some venturing out to sea.

The photograph that I took on 19th August "World photography day" that stands out more than any other that I took during the day. We were on our family holiday and visited Scarborough for the day. The photo shows Lily seeming to be having the time of her life aboard the Pirate ship! Lily was found abandoned mid December last year when the temperature had dropped to minus 10. This is the first time that we have ever brought one of our dogs on holiday and she certainly seemed to enjoy all of the experiences that she encountered.

Brick abstract

I took a slightly different route to work today hoping to photograph a diesel locomotive that I had seen for a couple of mornings. It was different to the one that I usually see, however due to the wet weather I failed to get a decent shot. However retracing my steps i passed back under a bridge that the railway crosses an took a shot of the amazing brickwork, make quite a good abstract shot i think!
Heads up!

Always puts a smile on my face when I see the heads of the Canada geese in the long grass.

Weather was better today but because my bus was a little late I think that I missed the goods train that I tried to capture yesterday. This view looks across to the signal box at New mills junction.

Hedgehog

Not seen a Hedgehog in years and all of a s sudden one has turned up in our back garden. Not sure how long is has been a resident and not sure if it can come and go as it pleases. Our back garden is quite secure as we have small dogs however there may be a gap in the fence behind the shed.
