Here's another view of the museum and the old town square.

Nadrazni sort of means "station street," or something like that. You can see the rail station on the center-right of the photo.

This is the Dean Church of St. Martin, which from what I can roughly gather from the Czech plaque on it, can trace its ancestry back to 1294. If anybody could translate the plaque (in the next shot), then maybe we could learn a bit more. :-)

Here was my railbus, the same one that took me to Sedlcany, awaiting departure in the Sedlcany yard.

And....here's my parting shot of the Sedlcany yard. It's actually a bit more extensive than I would expact for such a small town, so it might be that there is or was some freight traffic here.

I've been seeing these inspection/maintenance cars quite a bit in Cercany, probably because they're verifying that the corridor reconstruction is being done correctly. When I took this, Cercany was in a much earlier stage of its reconstruction, though.

This was one of those strange surprises that Prague has if you look around. Not only is this a real British double decker bus (albeit not an AEC Routemaster), but it's even still got its British route number and destination boards. If anybody knows the exact year and model (Thrash Merchant, do you know?), that would be great.

While playing around with Elsemuko's Technicolor script in Gimp (still unsuccessfully, unfortunately, although not due to the script not working), I accidentally discovered that if I used Gimp's standard auto-equalize feature, I would get this, which rather than looking Technicolor, looks more like a bad Autochrome. Oh well....I still like it. It looks kind of like an old postcard, I think.

On this particular day (I've forgotten the exact date), I had excellent light, so I was able to get some great shots around Prague. I took this at Narodni Muzeum.

This was my second shot, taken from Hradcanske Namesti. Every now and then, I can get one of these shots where the cloud cover at the end of the day illuminates a particular part of the landscape.

This was taken during my second trip to Olomouc, a bus trip that I took with UJOP during the summer. This is one of the narrow streets of Olomouc that, surprisingly, is somewhat of a shopping street. The largest shopping center on the street is Prior, which is on the left in this picture. It's a Communist-era building which has recieved heavy criticism not just for its dated design, but also because it blocks the view of the neighboring, and historic, Kostel sv. Moritz.

This was one of the few good angles that I could get of this church, which was built in 1257, but rebuilt many times due to fire damage. It still has its medieval look, though.

Here's another view of Obchodni Dum Prior in Olomouc.

Prior is served by tram service, and come to think of it, this is one of my first good photos of an Olomouc tram. The city does indeed have a fleet of these Tatra T3's, in several variants, as well as some Skoda 03T's.

I unfortunately have forgotten the name of this street, or perhaps alley might be just as good a word, as buttresses cross the street. There was a bit of construction being done on this portal or doorway of sorts.

A new bell had also just been delivered when I visited, I think for the Radnice, or town hall. The original photo that I took was decent, but needed to be cropped, so instead I added vignetting in iPhoto.

This building is called the "deer" or "jelen" building, and is on a corner in Dolni Namesti.
