C'è l'albero dell'amore ...
E’ uno degli alberi monumentali più noti e ammirati della regione. E’ una conifera sempreverde che due giovani hanno deciso di piantare il giorno del loro sposalizio, nell’anno del Signore 1856; quei due giovani e spensierati cittadini di un pezzo di mondo che stava per fare la sua rivoluzione, che si apprestava a diventare Regno d’Italia, si chiamavano Costanzo Falletti di Rodello e Eulalia Della Chiesa di Cervignasco, nomi articolati, con la radice lunga, nomi da poeti o meglio ancora, da castellani. Oggi, 157 anni più tardi, l’albero è il vero protagonista vegetale delle Langhe, terra che ha assaggiato il gusto amaro e mai alleviato della povertà e della miseria (e penso alle interviste di Nuto Revelli, a quel vangelo laico della terra e della fatica che è Il mondo dei vinti), e quello non meno disperante del sangue versato negli anni della Resistenza e della guerra civile.
