This is one of the four benches in a public park in the centre of Olhão. The blue tiles ( azulejos) - a characteristic Portuguese art - depict significant places and events in Olhão. Maybe better enlarged.

Marvão is on the highest peak of the Serra de São Mamede, not far from the borders with Spain. I was fascinated by its medieval castle, by the old narrow streets , the wrought iron balconies , the so many white houses… and by its unique atmosphere.
