Castel Toblino

Built as an ancient temple on the shores of Lake Toblino, Castel Toblino is one of the most famous lake fortresses all over Trentino. Many legends and forbidden love affairs have made this castle so famous. The way it looks today goes back to the 16th century . "Y los cisnes deslizándose sobre el agua sin salpicar, llenos de arrogancia potencian la visión del castillo ilustre y las nubes abrazando las cumbres rememoran otros abrazos perdidos en el interior de la fortaleza. Marvão … and me !

Marvão is on the highest peak of the Serra de São Mamede, not far from the borders with Spain. I was fascinated by its medieval castle, by the old narrow streets , the wrought iron balconies , the so many white houses… and by its unique atmosphere.

Predjama Castle

The castle was built almost 800 years ago in this dizzying location. One of its most famous residents was the rebel knight Erazem Predjamski, who also knew of a hidden tunnel in a karst cave behind the mighty castle, which led to the surface and thence to food. Legend has it that his ghost now haunts the castle.

Palazzo Fogaccia

Palazzo Fogaccia was built between the end of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century, commission by Count Vittorio Maria Fogaccia, and designed by architect Giovanni Battista Quadrio, who had worked on the Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano. The external rustic brickwork façade is relatively simple, especially compared to the inside, richly decorated by frescoes and Neoclassical paintings. The palace is surrounded by a large park, which houses many species of plants, including some exotic varieties
