The title comes from “A Christmas Carol “by Charles Dickens. Despite the total different description of the character in the story, this gentleman ‘s appearance made me immediately think of Dickens’s famous tale and I was unable to find any other title!

Oramai sai gestire alla perfezione i forti contrasti tra luce ed ombra, in questo caso la seconda non solo crea il giusto sfondo ma "invade" un lembo del soggetto, così da dare ancora più risalto alla fonte luminosa. Quest'ultima disegna egregiamente gli abiti, rende ancora più chiara la barba e, soprattutto, evidenzia gli occhi dell'uomo, leggermente chiusi, forse infastiditi dalla luce stessa, ma che sembrano guardare a qualcosa di lontano, a cui la bocca sembra alludere con un timido sorriso.
Come vedi, il mio commento si basa esclusivamente sulla foto, in quanto non conosco il racconto di Dickens (e non mi sembrava onesto andare a leggere sul web il suo contenuto).
Ma la foto mi basta, perché l'apprezzo molto, così come apprezzo il Tuo coraggio quando sfidi condizioni estreme di luci come in questo caso.
