FASCINATING!!! Why, I have never seen anything like this before! I would guess it's a kind of fern but there are not stems. So...moss perhaps? In any event, whatever it is, it's BEAUTIFUL! What a gorgeous abstract. Today is St. Patrick's Day so perhaps it's a verdant parade put on by wee creatures, nature's green sequins full of festive charm!

Note: I translated the comments and you mentioned this is a metal door to a garden? So...this is a man-made pattern? HOW COOL!

Liebe Janet, genau habe ich es auch nicht gewusst, aber ich habe Fraßspuren von Schnecken vermutet. Die alte Metalltür war flechtenbewachsen. Nun habe ich im internet die Bestätigung gefunden. Ich danke Dir sehr für dein Interesse. Beste Grüße sendet Karl
