HFF from Ventnor IOW

Oh for the summer time. We were without CH for 10 days until Wednesday. It was a case of hot water bottles and blankets when relaxing. New boiler fitted Wednesday. Warm dry towels and comfort. What did we do when we were young?
HFF dear Nick, and stay happy if possible. The GP's arriving this weekend. :-))

Poor you ~ that is terrible ~ When we were young we had jack frost making pretty patterns on the inside of our windows. Somehow we didn't feel the cold so much as kids. It is a far different story for the elderly where cold is a killer. I have a miniature electric blanket which can warm the small of my back if placed correctly, that and two hot water bottles usually keeps me warm.
HFF to you to dear LGM and yes the GP will be a useful distraction from the terrors of the world, where currently the Ukraine is the latest to suffer mindless bombardments, crazy power mad aggressors

Nick a real blast from the past so much has changed since those day we have to even wonder did we have days like that, HFF hope you have the very best of weekends.

Hi Steve, yes I had almost forgotten the ruins and bomb sites after the end of the second world war in London, Bath & Bristol that I saw as a child and of course every large target across the country.
Now we have another aggressor, who will not stop with the ruining of Ukraine. So sad

A lovely sunny holiday image Nick. Reminds me of beach holidays when my kids were small and dragging pushchairs, bags, towels etc back off the soft sand and climbing a similar slope, - a real workout for the legs!!
