OH MY, what a Shot !!! I most probably saw this from your 2011 archive, but sooo glad to see this lovely sight AGAIN !!! THIS Needs to be a painting for a wall !!!! so beautiful, and so pretty that nature has provided that reflection for TWO of it !!!!! Stay well Nick, Best wishes, Hugs too

These autumn colours are just amazing, dear Nick. I seem to remember this photo from Pan. I believe that the gardens were first designed by Capability Brown. A genius when it comes to choice of trees and where to have the lake.

Stourhead was my introduction to appreciating the skills of Caapability Brown. I believe however that he did a better job of planing the planting trees of contrasting colours at Sheffield Park. The main lake at Stourhead remains by favourite in terms of landscaping. xx
