Another great shot here my dear Sarah and certainly an interesting one again too in showing the system of placing mail into boxed at the road side ... we mostly do not have that at all with the mail man posting through the home door itself unless it is a secured yard when a box is then provided for mail

Hey Dear Steve, YES our mail , in town, comes to our homes, either on porches, where the owner has a box there for mail. or, as we do here at our home, at the edge of town, have this type box near road, as you see here. BUT this particular box is IN TOWN, they just prefer to have the box on the sidewalk instead of on their porch....thats just the way things are in with our mail delivery......thanks for you visit and comment Steve. Hello Peter, thank you... we have so many unique mailboxes across town, AND in the rural areas... you are spot on with your comment here about the mailmen / postmen... even in town, the guys (and gals) postal workers, have a mail car instead of WALKING all over town, they take a block at a time, walking up the the homes placing mail in these boxes, then back in their vehicle and on to another block or street.
