HFF Everyone! Have a great Friday and weekend ! ( photo # 1 )
Photo #1...this is a FENCE shot BUT look at that ancient tree!! wow... we pulled in this property heading home from Savannah , Georgia just to look around, as this is the site for my nephew's wedding on March 30, (you see the tent in background where the reception will be) and we were amazed at this, seemingly, historic YEW tree, photo # 2 shows more of the low hanging limb here on the right..... when there in a few days, I may inquire about the tree and see if anyone has information on its age etc..... (people SIT on that low limb) !! (Thanks Roger for the correct name of this awesome old tree )

Rosalyn Hilborne, Nouchetdu38, Amelia, William Sutherland and 9 other people have particularly liked this photo

Hey dear Nick, thanks for the visit and that you doubted this was an Oak, YOU ARE CORRECT it seems, Roger below thinks this is an old YEW Tree. I don't know of those, I really thought it an Oak. (see his comment below) HANWE Nick Hugs, Sarah

The Fortingall Yew in Scotland is believed to be between 3000 an 9000 years old and believed to be the oldest living thing in Europe.

Hi Sarah

I really like this old tree.

Maybe it goes back to the days of cotton plantations.. and would have a lot of stories to tell....!!

Best Wishes, HFF, and a good weekend

This doesn't look like an yew, more like an evergreen oak tree. Is that Spanish Moss hanging from the branches? Hope you enjoy the wedding dear Sarah. It's a lovely setting. have you made the cake?
HFF and have a good weekend.

Sarah O' club has replied to Amelia club
Hello Amelia, good to see you, thanks for your comment !! Oh MY, now Im really confused :)) I first named it as an Oak, and Roger (Grisley) thinks it an ancient Yew tree. So not sure now at all, BUT when we go for the wedding of my nephew next weekend I will inquire about it and hopefully one of the staff members at this "Event Venue" might can clear this up for me.! :) YES that is Spanish Moss on the tree. Savannah has soooo much of this moss all over the city,
No dear Amelia, Im not doing the cake, I m guessing it may be provided there at the location? not sure at all. BUT this year in December I WILL BE DOING the wedding cake for my first Grand Daughter, Fallon, at her Christmas wedding first weekend in Dec.
Thanks for coming by, Have a good weekend dear Amelia. Kindest wishes, Sarah (sorry this is long)

As comments above, Im completely unsure what this is Rosa, Roger and Amelia have given me their thoughts on this, I hope to, hopefully, find out more on this ancient tree this weekend when we go to this property for an outdoor wedding...

I know you will enjoy seeing Sophie in her school play :) my G/daughters keep me in the go at this time of year attending their Dance competitions.! such fun, especially when two of them are in the SAME dance, its hard for "Gran" to watch both..:))) But I certainly DO :)

best wishes, Sarah
