Hi Andy, yes it is a nice colorful item in this little pot! the surprise Andy is that I have planted the old trusted summer flower, the Petunia , in this small shallow pot. I watched this particular pot of petunias NOT doing so well, but recently when near this area, just across our driveway , there was this Coladium popping up in their place! I had forgotten that in past couple years I HAD planted a Coladium bulb in this pot, but as you may know they die back each year and I thought I had removed all the bulbs to store in a container for the winter, BUT here is my surprise...left a bulb I guess in this little pot and it has sprouted out to say hello:))) Im so happy to see it and WAS NOT EXPECTING it at all....:) but happy to have it , and you can see the second little leaf coming out beside it ... Long answer Andy, sorry:) but you asked :)))) and thanks for doing so:)

No, a GREAT answer, Peggy and I used to love these accidents too! They always seemed to involve misplaced or forgotten bulbs and tubers!
However, I have to confess I hadn't heard of coladium, and wish I had! It's a super little plant!
Best wishes,
Andy

Thanks Andy, I so hope I have spelled that word correctly, but I spelled it just as it sounds. So you have had surprises too, :)) its fun isn't it ?:)) This is no where near as large as these leaves get, but mine may not, since it has just popped on on its own, and has been dormant for a while.. regards, Sarah

Hi John, thank you, I love this plant, and do hope eit will come back another year as well, But it has been dormant for a bit, so it won't get to be large as these leaves usually get, I would think.

kind greetings, Sarah
