Sunrises and sunsets
When the pipistrelle bats come out to feed

Always difficult to video or photo as they are so quick! They do a great service by keeping the mosquito population down. They are normally seen just as the sun sets.
Best on full screen and further enlargement to view the bat!
H. A. N. W. E. everyone!

We can't quite see the sunset from here but we can certainly see the colour changes to the clouds in the wider picture.
I do have to say though, that we do sometimes get some excellent skies!
HANWE everyone

Went for a brief lungful of sea air in the hour I had available before returning to cook supper and It was fortunate that I co-incided with this colourscape!
North Cliffs, Cornwall.
Goodnight!

Gwel Leden, an attractive farm on the outskirts of St Day. I was pleased to see the lights were on at The Star Inn, my destination for this day's constitutional - a swift half and a return to cook supper.

There are two pubs in St Day; The St Day Inn, also known as 'Top House' and The Star here, known as 'Bottom House' on account of the fact that this one lies at the foot of Vogue Terrace, a long descent from the centre of the village. Both pubs have their charms although they are very different in character.
With pubs closing at a rate of knots, it's good to be able to have a choice. Long may that continue!

I never posted this and I wonder why. Maybe because it's not as spectacular as some of the other sunrises I captured from this high rise flat I lived in in 2012 / 13. But I like those cloud formations. And I just noticed - 10 years ago! ...and it seems like yesterday!
Another one of this strange cloud formation.

My sister's shot in September last year from a terrace. I've posted another of her's of this cloud before.
Sunset above The Star.

Not much to add here really but it seemed a bit more colourful than the usual sunset.
St Day. My Mum's garden in April.

She still keeps an amazing garden with interest all the year round. I don't think I've captured it at sunset before now.

On my usual path to the pub. Somewhat later in the day as my Dad's back in hospital (doing OK in the circumstances) and my timetable alters somewhat!
The tree branch silhouettes appealed.
This is pretty much as I saw it. I did a little editing simply to remove some of the excessive glare, but other than a little cropping, nothing really!

A bit of Van Morrison and Them never did any harm!

Today, three thunderstorms and a sunset.
Sight and Sound. Worth a listen. Canned Heat did well to record this and make it well known at Woodstock. It's a blues gem from 1928! www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8NJ-MIfFHI

My sister's shot and taken from exactly the same spot as the previous upload of this evening's storm! (totally by co-incidence!)

Not the most spectacular sunset but the light just highlighted the Sierra de La Cabrera rather nicely here, I thought.
Probably better on large.
I add a note about the old road. We're lucky that the view is unspolt. The main roads to neighbouring villages go well to the left and right of our view!
Please see Pam J's response below. Much there of great interest!

Anvil shaped storm cloud (I would guess somewhere over the Lozoya Valley), sunset and, yes, it came our way. Another very stormy sleepless night! Enough is enough!
(Sorry about the bit of camera shake clearly visible in those town lights!)
