The Faro de Moncloa.
I thought the building was the Museum of The Americas, but apparently that is hidden behind. I have yet to establish what the building is and what the 'Lighthouse of Moncloa' is all about either.
I will report back here when have done so!

Still don't know about the building.
Thank you Dimas Sequiera, the 'building houses the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation to Development, the Agency of Information to the Citizen, a Post Office and perhaps other public services.'
I can confirm this as I had occasion to walk past here the other day (Oct 2018).
Dawn / sunrise

Another tremendous dawn from 2013 and taken from the high rise flat I was living in at the time.

Another new one and she's next to Murphy. I do hope they have been formally introduced! I wonder if Maria will be jealous!
Murphy says hello.
La Finca Business Park, Madrid.

At one time I came here 4-5 times a week to give English classes. Sometimes early - this is a shot taken at dawn.
BICIMAD

Close to my flat, these are the ranks of BICIMAD bikes - the Madrid equivalent of Boris Bikes (a poor misnomer in its own right by all accounts).
The Madrid name amuses my immature schoolboy sense of humour! ,
HFF everyone!

This shot of the Torres Cuatro and the recent street art at Chamartin Station was taken immediately after the completion of the artwork withing the allotted time frame. Some of the artwork was left unfinished. The scaffolding frames which allowed them to do the work is still here. It had gone two days later. I guess the Council loaned them the scaffolding over one weekend only so that it didn't interfere with normal council work!
Plaza de Colon - from the other side.

Taken from below the Torre Colon (see previous shot). The largest flag in Spain can be seen too!

I teach 5-6 times a week in the white building to the right of the brown and green Torre Colon. It is Number 1, Castellana, a prestigious address indeed and home to the Madrid office of Banque de Credit Agricole.
Christopher Columbus's stature is dwarfed by the Torre Colon behind it. Torre Colon was one of the early Madrid Skyscrapers and for a while in the early to mid 70s was the tallest building in Madrid. The green top was a later addition, apparently added when it's pre-eminence in altitude came under threat!

In Plaza de Colon, in the centre of Madrid.
A windy day. This giant flag was all over the place!

Metro station and local train services hub with cinema complex and shopping centre. A complete re-design in the late 80s and early 90s of a dilapidated old station. You can see the original wrought-iron superstructure of the old station reflected in the modern glass.
More street art.

Kate seems to star a fair bit, whether as the artist or as a dedicatee, I know not!
More from the car park at Chamartin station, Madrid.
More street art and the last of the spring mallow.

I think the graffiti and vegetation go well together here. Next time I pass by, only the graffiti will remain, I suspect!
More street art.
