Cornwall 2018

The two Islands are known as Bawden Rocks, which you see on maps, or Man and his Man, which you don't! Occasionally also 'Cow and Calf'. The South West Peninsula Coast Path between St Agnes and Newdown Heads. Another for Pam. Suggest on Z.

I got distinction when I thought at the time that I had failed miserably. The head examiner told me afterwards that while nerves meant that my Mozart and Beethoven renditions didn't merit distinction, my Schubert (this piece) more than merited a distinction for the exam overall! Needless to say this has been a favourite of mine ever since!!

Beautiful plant but an invasive pest as it stifles native flora. Near St Agnes Head. On the site of Camp Cameron, where black US service personnel were placed during World War II, presumably so as not to frighten the natives in the more populous parts of the country. Boxer Joe Louis was stationed here and described it as the most boring two years of his life! For Pam.

Yup! My Mum's garden again! I could have posted it next Friday for HFF but I saw I was in time today and thought to myself; 'Why not!' For Pam, who loves her gardens!

Another shot of this far southwest coastline and another one for Pam! This low tide shot reveals an interesting granitic bouldery shoreline walk that I don't know. I will have to investigate!!

Viewed from Carn Gloose. For Pam! A strange day where the light was generally good but there was a pervading misty atmosphere, hence no horizon to speak of. Taken 2018 and posted first 2018.

granite coast at Carn Gloose, St Just (Land's End in the distance). There was a strange but pleasing light that afternoon! The horizon doesn't look straight but I assure you it is! An optical illusion due to the other angles.

It was a sunny day, despite that haze bank sitting offshore! For Pam.

The wall encloses (to my mind) a most incongruous golf course! In answer to a question to an earlier Cape Cornwall upload, that´s not a lighthouse but the chimney from a disused engine pumping house for a tin mine.
