Greenbank Cove, North Cliffs, Cornwall, heather and gorse.
Recommend view enlarged.
Lane on Carn Marth, Cornwall.

Granite wall invisible under the vegetation!
No need to ask which way the wind blows!
High Tide, North Cliffs, Corwall.

At low tide I walk the length of coastline you see here - in either direction. It's great fun rock-hopping and occasionally wading through pools etc. It takes 1.5 hours (or more if you stop to take photos or just admire the scenery!)
Godrevy

|
Godrevy lighthouse and Island from Godrevy Point.
Must be viewed large to see lighthouse details.

Looking from Porthcadjack, past Basset Cove and Crane Islands, to Greenbank Cove, my low tide coastal route in reverse.
This is closer to high tide than low tide which is why I'm on the high path rather than following the shore line!
Rock pool, clear water, Basset Cove.

Basset Cove, North Cliffs, Cornwall. Lots of seaweed making rock-hopping a dangerous pastime. I treaded very gingerly and got past here eventually without mishap.
Hell's Mouth from Navrax Head.
|
|
|
|
North cliffs, Cornwall, including Hell's Mouth and Fishing Cove from the Godrevy peninsula at Navrax Head. The sea was startlingly blue!
Ponies and seagull.
Gurnard's Head from the South West Peninsula Coast…
Man and His Man

The name of the two islets seen here (alternative name; Bawden Rocks, not so interesting!), From Newdown's Head, St Agnes Heritage Coast, Cornwall. Heather in profusion.
Cornish hedge (seen better days)
Portreath Harbour

|
The stone structure at the end of the pier was demolished by a severe storm the year after I took this shot. It was rebuilt straight away and looks exactly the same today, I'm pleased to say!
Portreath Harbour, for Rosa.

The 'Pepperpot' at top right was the huer's look out. A huer had the responsibility of calling (hueing) the first sighting of the pilchard shoal. When that happened, the whole town swung into very serious action!
The jetty and round stone hut on the left, having withstood many severe storms, finally succumbed to a huge storm the following year. And rebuilt extremely quickly. When I re-visited in 2014, it was as if nothing had been destroyed! I was impressed!
Cornish granite near Penberth Cove
Zennor Hill

|
|
|
This granite lump of a hill dominates the tiny village of Zennor in West Penwith, Cornwall. Taken from the coast path.
Please enlarge.
Mutton Cove, Reskajeage, Cornwall

Often a beaching place for seals, and lots of them, but not at this hour, or this day.
On the Godrevy / Hell's Mouth stretch of coast path and very popular with walkers and families (there is a huge car park, sadly - and a huge sandy beach behind me).
Crane Islands, Basset Cove, North Cliffs, Cornwall

I took this shot as soon as I got back to Cornwall from Madrid. The hire car from Bristol airport was a piece of s..t and I drove straight here for a breath of the sea air I miss so much in Madrid. Half an hour later, and I felt much better and drove the 5 miles to my parents' house.
