Penryn, Cornwall - a typically cloudy summer's day…

Lower Market Street, Penryn. Now a sleepy backwater, Penryn was one of the major market towns of Cornwall in times gone by.
Godrevy from Navrax Point, Cornwall
Crane Islands from Basset Cove, Cornwall

Part of my low tide walk between Porthcadjack and Greenbank Coves.
This is not the lowest the tide gets. I normally walk across here further out to sea. I can only guess that the tide is on the way out as I would never attempt it if it were coming in! .
Porthmeor Farm, Zennor, Cornwall. HFF!

HFF to all my ipernity and IMA friends.
There is a fence in there somewhere; the horse has got it (almost) covered!
Blue rope. Path to the beach at high tide. Porthto…

If you follow this path down to where it meets the cliff face ahead, you can then be guided by the blue rope (more easily visible on large) down the steep slope to the beach. It's much easier than it looks but not for the fainthearted!
At low tide you simply walk round the headland!
My 200th photo on ipernity. That equates to just over one a day. More than I thought. I hope to upload 1,000s eventually!! :o)
Crane Islands.

North Cliffs, Cornwall.
This shot is taken from the ramparts of Crane Castle, or what is left of this Iron Age hill fort. The flowering bank in the foreground leads up to the top of the landward defensive rampart; nearly all of the fort is now under the sea and would have occupied the now disappeared land between this position and the island ahead.
Ralph's Cupboard.

|
Coastal Erosion at Ralph's Cupboard, Portreath, Cornwall. Not the cleverest place to stand and take a shot, I grant you!
Not much time left:

Portreath, Cornwall. Photo taken in July 2011. Exif says November 2011. I was in Spain in 11/2011. I am always puzzled by this sort of thing!
Last chance to save this site.

Granite cliffs, Cornwall.
It's a good fun scramble down to this point. Over many years I have seen a total of 3 fishermen down here and no-one else.
Fundraising is still going on. Apparently and, ultimately, IMA need at least $50,000 to continue Ipernity into 2018!

North Cliffs from Reskajeage Downs, Cornwall

The notorious (for shipping anyway) Hell's Mouth is tucked in the cliffs in the middle distance.

Granite cliffs at St Agnes' Head, St Agnes' Heritage Coast.
Good fun scrambling down to this point and good exercise getting back up! I used to to do it 10 times a day when I was trying to lose the weight I put on after I quit smoking! It worked!
Try on Z please.

I got well and truly drenched!

Porthcadjack, Portreath, Cornwall. August 01, 2012. High summer - and a filthy day!
I'm sure most of you have (not all as I know a few are against) but, if not, PLEASE COMPLETE THE SURVEY VERY SOON.
Z please.
Tenacious ivy. Fishing cove, Reskajeage, Cornwall.…

Tenacity is a requirement for all plant life here, struggling against the fierce Atlantic storms.

My Mother's garden has fences. A good source for HFF photos! Photo taken in August 2012, the exif is wrong!

Even the out of bounds and long decommissioned nuclear research station of Nancekuke seen on the horizon at far right can't much detract from the scene.
