Wonderful coastal scene.

A lovely capture Andy. Unfortunately we never actually got to Portreath to explore that bit of coast behind the airfield. We did pass just near on that twisty B3301 but we were pushed by time so missed the village out - a big mistake we know now. We also walked south from St Agnes Head to Porthtowan just north of Sallys Bottom. So never saw this place at all. Ah well, perhaps another time.

What a wonderfully, rugged coastline! I wonder who Sally was? I had to smile at that name. Whoever she was, I hope she wasn't offended. I guess there must have been many who had a good laugh at that name. It's a lovely bit of coastline though!

Spectacular seacliffs, Andy! Just a possibly relevant linguistic note: "bottoms" (yes, usually in the plural) were lowland areas, as along a river, on this side of the pond in some regions. Pretty archaic now, though, I think. Probably it's short for "bottomlands", but the online etymology dictionary doesn't say.

Same meaning in British English Steve, a hollow, lower-lying piece of ground, maybe subject to flooding, usually following a wet, or dried-out water course.
