Peña del Tejo, granite and Lavender

Thank you, Janet. But I am a little bit sad that you don't get sunrises and sunsets in California, even occasionally like this.

The honest truth, Keith is that when you get off the bus, it is too early in the day for the sun to have worked on the essential oils and release the aroma. Then, an hour or so later, you do get an initial 5 minute exposure to a lovely mix of lavender, rosemary and thyme. Then it all gets overwhelned by the slightly sickly smell of the cistus.
But for 5 minutes ... heaven!

What a gorgeous view - the deep lavender in the foreground and then your eyes are directed upwards to the overhang of granite with that beautiful blue sky above. Simply beautiful
