The angle of the cliff and the point of view suggests a waterfall, even though it's rock.

Larry - so best not to go up it! The path is there at the bottom but is hidden by the foliage.

Could it be part of a landslip ending up on its side? That way you could explain away the layers. Mind you, a waterfall as suggested is also a good possibility

Good guess, Jenny, but it really is just different minerals in the rock giving the different colours! I went in really close to check it out!
