A Truro back lane

A Truro back lane
on a stormy day.
This has to be for Pam too. It's a typical English West Country coastal town shot. Even without the sea as a backdrop, it couldn't be anything else!

Like the tones very much. Just the right to show this street. And you've chosen a very good perspective.

The light was that kind you sometimes get in stormy weather, in between the downpours.
Many thanks, Ulrich!

I always went to Cornwall for my annual 2 weeks holiday. I usually stayed at my cousin's cottage at Gurnard's Head. 1992 was a particularly hard year for me (much ill-health in the family, divorce, money worries, etc etc). This was in the recession of the early 90s.
I REALLY needed a GOOD break.
Instead? 2 weeks of fog!
26 years ago and that year seems like 5 minutes ago! The scars are still there!
Thank you Gudrun!

I think I have told you before that I have never been to Truro. I must put that right next year!

Great perspective and nicely taken. Even in the dull light, you've captured the tones and textures of the architecture very well.

Thanks Steve,
I waited a while to post this as for a long time it just seemed too dull to me. Then one day, I noticed something more, and these are the points you've noted too.

Well a back alley on fact but used as a short cut by many people including me. The bus station is at the end of this alleyway!

Andy this is a special shot, the feeling it gives off to me is soothing in spite of the storm clouds. The curved pathway, the aging textures all add to your image. :)
