Wise man... you know all too well you don't play with an incoming tide !

Even though I buy a pocket-sized copy of the latest Tide Times (the first thing I do on my return), I check the weather conditions as well, Pam; a storm out to sea, for example, can alter the forecast height of the tides. A difference of two feet can be critical at sites such as this.
These days I find that I miss the very lowest tides due to lack of opportunity. The few free walking days I might have don't necessarily correspond with clement weather, low tide at the right tine, that sort of thing. In fact I don't think I have done my favourite shore-line rock-hopping route since before I met my girlfriend, so 2012. I once explained it to her in excited detail and put her off the idea of walking it with me for good!!!! :o(

Yep... I never took chances.

I used to LOVE rock hopping.. used to do it in rivers too !

Sigh.......... time passes.
