I gave up smoking in 2010, Nick and was so pleased with the immediate improvement in my stamina that I used to run up this, trot back down, then run up it again. Couldn't do it now - too much of a sedentary lifestyle sat on my butt all day!

Thank you Bea! I should warn you that even going a few miles - sorry, kilometres - on the coast path you would have to go down and then up, down and then up, many many of these!! It catches people out just how tough the going can be if you don't expect it!

Hi Tanja, thank you!
The National Trust I think! Obviously there was a path here before but very muddy after rain and perhaps impossible then, especially as the path became more and more popular. So I'm sure it was done to stop erosion as well as to make it easier for people, and their dogs!
